ABOUT Sony Open Tennis: The 2011 Sony Open was covered by over 600 credentialed media from 32 countries. Both the men's and women's finals were broadcast on CBS. Semifinal and Quarterfinal action was brodcast on ESPN, while early round play was shown on the Tennis Channel. The tournament received over 4,875 hours of television coverage globally on other networks.
Through a partnership with the Miami Herald, Sony Open Tennis produces The Daily. The publication is distributed with Miami Herald newspapers throughout parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties on the tournament's opening day as a 12-page tournament preview special section. Every morning thereafter, a four-page daily which contains the day's schedules and an updated draw sheet is distributed on the tournament grounds.
